Headquartered in White Plains, New York Orthometrix, Inc. (OTC-BB: OMRX.OB) markets, sells and services a wide range of proprietary non-invasive musculoskeletal and fitness devices through a Healthcare Division and a Sports & Fitness Division, respectively.

Reynald Bonmati founded Orthometrix in 1993 to initially make a contribution in the battle against osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a condition that primarily affects women over the age of 50, affecting mobility and independence, and often leading to hip fracture. Through its Norland Corporation subsidiary, which was a pioneer in bone densitometry used by physicians to diagnose osteoporosis, Orthometrix initially designed, manufactured, sold and serviced a broad line of cost-effective traditional bone densitometers installed in more than 40 countries. In association with Stratec Medizintechnik GmbH, Orthometrix also became and has since remained the leader in advanced x-ray measurement systems for bone and muscle research with systems installed in most leading pharmaceutical research laboratories, medical schools, universities and government institutions.

Over the past decade, Mr. Bonmati's partner Hans Schiessl carried out extensive research in Germany into the cause of hip fracture in post-menopausal women which led to the obvious but often overlooked conclusion that our muscular and neurological systems played a crucial role in our bone health. As a result, the "Galileo(tm) vibration technology" was invented and patented worldwide to build, rebuild and/or maintain our muscular and neurological systems. It initially was and now is extensively used in rehabilitation and physical therapy, and also to help improve certain medical conditions such as osteoarthritis (improved mobility and reduced pain), diabetes (improved blood circulation in power limbs), stress incontinence, Parkinson's disease, etc. It soon became clear that the Galileo technology had tremendous applications not only in wellness but also in sports and fitness.

In April 2002, Orthometrix sold its Norland business to focus its entire resources on the development of devices for bone and muscle research, pain management, rehabilitation & physical therapy, and sports & fitness.

The VibraFlex® 500 is the first exercise system developed by Orthometrix to be used in fitness centers, gyms, sports clubs and associations, as well as at home. It is a motorized whole body exercise system based on the same patented Galileo vibration technology used by professionals in a medical environment. Therefore, it benefits from the entire experience that the Galileo technology has accumulated in the medical field over almost a decade, as evidenced by the large number of studies and publications on our technology.
